Learning Red

We started learning the color Red! We reviewed the color in different ways. We matched red items to the red circle by circle time. We collected red toys to put in our sensory table for us to play with. We finger painted with red paint. We baked red cupcakes. We glued red collage materials.

We also learned the concept of the Rainbow. We learned that the rainbow has 6 colors and we learned a song for us to review the colors.

Red, orange, green, and blue
shining yellow, purple too
These are the colors that we know live up in the rainbow

We painted a picture of a rainbow using watercolor paints. And we put it up on our bulletin board next to the class collage rainbow.

We have been getting very comfortable with each other and having a lot of fun at free play.

We also learned about the changing leaves and the season Fall. We then went on a walk to see the leaves on the tree.

Experimenting and discovering Rosh Hashana

We have started experimenting with different sensory materials. We made "goop" using glue, food coloring, and liquid starch.

We also took out the pompoms from the sensory table and put shaving cream inside.

We've also been playing, coloring, making collage, and more fun!

We've also started learning about upcoming holiday Rosh Hashana. We learned two songs.

Dip the apple in the Honey

Make a Bracha loud and clear
L'Shana Tovah U'Mesuka
Have a Happy Sweet New Year

And we learned..
The shofar in the shul goes toot, toot, toot
toot toot toot
toot toot toot
the shofar in the shul goes toot toot toot
on Rosh Hashana morning

We tasted honey and saw how sweet it is. We tasted lemon and saw how sour it is.We preferred the sweet honey. We tried apple dipped in honey.

Rabbi Naftoli came by at lunch and blew a real shofar for us!

A big Mazel tov to Joshua! We had our first birthday party!
