Discovering Fall

This week we discussed the weather change. We discussed how the weather got cold and the leaves are changing colors. We learned that the trees are going to sleep now that it's the winter. We pretended to be trees and stretched out our arms. We then shook our hands as leaves and then dropped them to the ground. Then we pretended to be sleeping trees. We also put leaves on a paper tree with paper leaves. We then practice to be wind and blew all the leaves off the tree.

We then glued different color leaves onto a picture of a tree. You can find our Fall art on the hall bulletin board.

We did a two-step process art collage using red. We cut red paper with scissors and then we glued it on to white paper.

Thank you parents who sent in red vegetables! We shared them on Thursday and ate them by lunch.

On Friday, we had an extra long free play and it gave the children a chance to do a lot of imagination play and experimenting.

Busier kitchen than most!

Under the table. "its a house/doma, Morah!" And as you can see, Elana is wearing one of our winter hats from the dramatic play center.
